Description

The little pricklyleaf grows in sunny, arid regions throughout the Southwest and northern Mexico. In California it is found only in eastern San Bernardino County. It forms a low mound of feathery compound leaves. In its native habitat it blooms in spring, but it seems to bloom several times a year with additional water and moderate temperatures. The spent flowers produce copious amounts of seed, which can be used to grow new plants. The pricklyleaf prefers a sunny site with occasional water.
