Description

A favorite manzanita for its dark purple bark, pink winter flowers and moderate size. The open structure displays the smooth bark. With judicious pruning during summer, this manzanita can be trained into a small tree or encouraged to take a more columnar shape. ‘Louis Edmunds’ manzanita thrives in partial shade. Provide adequate space so its many aesthetic features may be appreciated. A true bay area native: selected in Sonoma County by Louis Edmunds and introduced to the nursery trade by the Saratoga Horticultural Foundation.
