Description

Brickellbush is widespread in California and beyond. It is especially common in dry areas. It grows as a rounded shrub of dense gray-green leaves. The flowers are small and cream colored, hard to notice against the lightly colored foliage. The bricklebush is most appreciated for its fragrance, which can be quite pleasant in the summer months. The aroma can carry for some distance. Brickellbush needs very little to thrive. A sunny site with little or no supplemental irrigation will be fine. Plant brickellbush where it can contribute its sweet scent without contributing to garden aesthetics.
