What do these mean?
Description
Truckee lewisia grows at high elevations in the Sierra Nevada west of Lake Tahoe. It seems to favor coo, rocky areas with nearby snowmelt. The narrow succulent leaves form a low rosette. The spring bloom is naturally a shade of radiant pink. The ‘little raspberry’ selection is thought to be a hybrid with Lewisia cotyledon, which explains its magenta flowers. Truckee lewisia will require very well draining soil and occasional moisture once established. A planting site with morning sun only, or perhaps bright shade, will protect it from interior sun. Consider growing Truckee lewisia in a pot with well-draining media.
