Description
The angelita daisy (also called stemless four-nerved daisy) is native to the deserts of southeastern California into the southwest and great plains. This is the arizonica variety. Another variety, acaulis, ranges throughout the central US and Canada. The narrow, grass-like leaves form an evergreen little mound. Angelita daisy blooms continuously in a sunny, well-draining location as long as the faded blossoms are regularly removed. Its foliage maintains a tidy appearance without pruning. Plant in the foreground where its intricate features can be appreciated. In my garden in San Jose, angelita daisy has performed well as a short-lived perennial.
