Description

Western vervain is found throughout the California floristic province (portions of California, Oregon and Mexico that enjoy a Mediterranean climate). It grows in an open spreading form to about two feet tall and wide. The flowers are lavender and attract a variety of pollinators. With water, western vervain can spread readily but in drier settings it seems well behaved. This adaptable plant is a great choice for gardens intended to support wildlife with locally growing plants.
